Jaw Surgery

About Jaw Surgery

Jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) is a treatment option when the top and bottom jaws do not align correctly which often causes problems with your bite. Usually, an orthodontist will work to move teeth into the best location prior to the procedure, and then your oral and maxillofacial surgeon will perform surgery to reposition the jaws. This not only improves facial appearance, but also ensures that teeth meet correctly and function properly.
