Anesthesia
About Anesthesia
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are specially trained to administer deep sedation and general anesthesia in the office setting. Their training includes a minimum of 5 months of hospital-based anesthesia experience and 3-4 years of clinic-based experience.
Surgeries
Most surgeries are performed with Drs. Baber, Baker, or Lewis administering intravenous sedation, but our facility is set-up to provide inhalation general anesthesia for longer and more complex cases. For these surgeries, we utilize a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) to manage your anesthesia. All our doctors are board certified by the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and carry BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
